Solving The Grandfather Paradox

The grandfather paradox — in which a homicidal grandson travels back in time and murders his grandfather, thus preventing his own birth — has plagued humanity since at least 1931 (and probably earlier). Science and mathematics have advanced, and it seems the paradox has been solved — by not actually being a paradox at all.
